  Thought id try a few fish and chips shops around this area while i was in Rye. This place is overpriced, not so tasty and they undercooked the batter. Calamari rings were fake and flake was not fresh, tasted like there was lemon added on it. They also forgot to add my potato cakes. There was only 1 other customer when I was there so no excuses for the poor quality. David Prosser few doors down definitely heaps better however the ratings are pretty much the same on google ehhh?

  worst fish and chips ever had. we came here about 2 weeks ago we were down rosebud for the holiday break with my family and a few other families and ended up in rye for fishing, came here to get dinner we were told 40 minute wait which was understandable because they were busy however you'd think after making people wait 40 minutes the food would be amazing, right? wrong!! the food was terrible the potato cakes were RAW, chips were SOGGY and UNDERCOOKED, batter on the hamburger in batter was UNDERCOOKED, hamburgers were definitely not the best either. after spending $70 we were very disappointed, my dad went back to tell them about the potato cakes being raw and the young lady was so DISRESPECTFUL towards him. i work at a fish and chip shop myself and i would be embarrassed if we served food like that and treated our customers the way they did. if i could i would give 0 stars cause it doesn't even deserve 1. safe to say we will NEVER be going back!!

  Best old school fish n chips & burgers in Rye & Blairgowrie. No fuss, great prices and good quality.
  We went on Easter Saturday, they were doing a roaring trade and it only took 20 mins for our food to be prepared.
  Not our first visit and certainly not our last.

  Well where do I start,,
  The service was nothing short of fantastic, nice to hear about the shop assistant's travel from WA, a nice touch.
  Now the food, it's amazingly good food, the fish and chips were not greasy with a great solid batter that's not full of oil, potato cakes are crispy,, very impressed...

  there were fins and bones in the whiting which was hugely disappointing for my wife. This is why it was not 5 stars. The fish burger was amazing, the chips were on point and my wife said they were the best potato scollops she has ever eaten. Her scollop was Ok only though. It was a mixed bag but would give them another shot thats why 3 stars.
